Summarize Written Text | PTE Write Essay

A PTE Write Essay is a second PTE writing task that asks you to write a long essay on any given subject. It requires you to summarize a paragraph into one sentence. Summarize Written Text questions can cover a wide range of topics, including science, nature, history and social topics, while PTE Write Essay questions seem to emphasize social issues more than anything else. As part of the essay topics, you are required to write an argumentative essay in which one side is taken along with many examples. For this writing task, you need to follow a structure, in which you should have an introduction, body, and conclusion. It is okay for you to use your own experience in writing this essay. A Summarize Written Text question examines your ability to summarize a lengthy piece of text into a concise sentence capturing the main idea and supporting facts.
The PTE has set certain word limits for both tasks, so you will not be able to get your response evaluated if you don't follow those limits.
